I can't quite believe it but, I haven't had any cravings that I've had to talk myself out of yet! I know it's early days but, it must be the Champix working it's magic and if so then good for it!!
Went to the newsagent today, bought a magazine and packet of sweets and never even thought about the fact there were rows and rows of cigarettes just waiting to be bought and smoked!! That to me was a big achievement!
Have had plenty of thoughts about smoking but, I suppose thats to be expected. None of them are controlling thoughts telling me that I desparately need to smoke though, it's strange, never felt like this before!
I've heard that day 3 can be particularly hard but, I think I'm as prepared for it as I can be and I am chuffed with myself so far!!
Thanks to all for support and to Flippy for telling me where to find it!

In the early part of my quit I would often look at the cigs in the shop in a kind of forbidden fruit kind of way. Not that I necessarily wanted to buy them it was just that I felt deprived!
These days I don't often look but if I do its to see what the price is and grin knowing that I don't have to spend that money now!
Different people have different days that are bad. Day 3, 5, 7 whatever, what is important is that you recognise that there will be some bad ones (unless you are really lucky) and be prepared for them.
Day three now hope it gose well for you. On the way home from work this morning a friend and I stopped at the shop. I got paper / milk £1.25. She gotpaper / bread / 40 fags £ 13 29. Felt good then HEHE. xxxx

Funny you should say that, I was in the village shop this morning. I bought a multipack of chewing gum and a bottle of water. £2.12.
Lady in front of me bought a mars bar, a bottle of coke and 20 fags... £6.94
I'm gonna treat myself in Subway at lunchtime to make up the difference!
Hi Cat, Keep up the good work, you are doing just GREAT. As long as you keep vigilant for any unexpected craving that happens to come along, you will be fine. In fact, if you do get a craving which you don't succumb to, it gives you a kind of buzz and smug feeling.

Hi Kittycat - Well done you. I'm on Champix too and have felt exactly like you. It's a luverly feeling when you can come out of a newsagents and realise that you never even thought about buying any evil weed.

Good feeling isnt it. I go into my local Londis and the owner goes to get my usual 20 and we laugh when i say Nope. He thinks one day I will say Yes, How wrong is he.

I thought this forum was for anyone quitting smoking. Shame that some people have to be nasty. If you dont want me here then thats fine.
