Hello all. In a muddle, and starting to have a bit of a stress! I'm off sick at the mo and my 2 smoking collegues are coming round at lunch to visit me  I'm going to have to stay strong. It is day 8 for me, and have come this far..... Hope you are all well x

Do they know you have quit? If so, they should automatically not light up in front of you. Or you could ask them politely if they would mind not smoking in your home. If they are considerate colleagues they will understand why. Stay strong. Let us know how you get on.

Hi Tash

When your smoking friends come round just tell them how stinky they are and put a peg on your nose :D

Well done on reaching day 8, you can do it! Oh and stop missing the fags. I made that mistake on my last 'quit' and it was my downfall. You do not need them. Things are so much more enjoyable without smoking. I no longer base my life around it. Its great.

Hi tasha

you stay strong today!!!!

You have done so well to get to this stage so don't have any blips..

print out DBSFS in big letters and read it 20 times if you get even the slightest thoughts of having even one puff.

Think how good you have felt to get to here and now. And think how good you are starting to feel about yourself. And think about how it is starting to get easier and easier because you know that it is...

Do you want to go back to day one again?

Do you want to start smoking again?

it isnt just the one ciggie with your freinds today it is all the ciggies that the one will lead to.

I remember how hard it was for you at the start so DONT waver and crash now.

REMEMBER you DO have a choice. The choice is "do i smoke or do i say NO."

SAY NO!!!!

Stay Strong Tasha!!:)

I agree with all of the above Tasha. Good luck

 xThanks everyone, you are all so right! The last quit failures have been because I think I can just have the one! I make smokers go outside anyway, never smoked in my house myself -it's not fair with a little one. Right - I pity the fools who smoke! I'll remember that. You are right, I'm not really missing them, I'm very proud of what I have acheived and I no longer smoke. And I will tell them that they stink! They'll probably have a crafty one in the car on the way here, so they most likely will stink - ha ha, I'll report back later!

I think it may have been a match! You'll have to get the latest from them  I was tempted away by TV and a cuppa! Thanks Jan. Feeling really good about the quit at the moment. How are you doing? With me, I just need to get past that first week, then it feels a bit better (although I'm waiting for the evil weed to smack me in the chops and hit me with a really big and unexpected craving - the mionster is always lurking!) We will be moving offices soon and we will have to go out the front and smoke on the road - yucky, how common! It's so not a good look is it!? Think that's why my collegue has quit too, can't stand the finger pointing " Erghh, look at those dirty smokers!" Hee hee :D I hope she succeeds and have offered her support via text - I wonder if she will accept it?

Glad to hear your feeling good about the quit. The monster can rear its ugly head when you least expect it but I am sure you are strong enough now to give it a good pasting.

I had to go outside the office on to the main road to smoke before I quit and it isn't a good look. People deliberately crossing over, etc, but that is for others now (poor things). I am sure your colleague will accept your support. Try and get her to come on here as well if she needs extra. It is good that you can support her and also she will be able to support you as well. I know all my colleagues have supported me in this quit (probably with the exception of the smokers). I have not had my patches on for 10 days now. I should have gone down to 5 mg ones but I felt I could do without (against the nurse's advice). Anyway, I feel really good at the moment and have had no cravings whatsoever. I am also on a diet as I have high cholesterol (although it is stable and I don't need tablets because of this). So I am concentrating on what I can and cannot eat. I think that is harder than the quit but hopefully I will succeed in this (see pics below)

The Foight went exceedingly well, Jan. Better than expected actually. I gave it large right from the start and it was all downhill from Johns corner after that. He tried, bless him, but tbh, it was a wasted effort on his part

One up to the girlies!!! :D
