When I first joined this forum, I used to look at the month rooms with a bit of a forlorn gaze thinkin "lucky things to have got that far" and I think in my head I actually wasn't convinced I'd ever get here!

Into Month 3 we go though and tough as it is at the moment, this little boost of a milestone is just what I needed!

Well done to the whole of Team 428 (whoever's still quit and in!!).. we are doing fabulously and I'm dead proud of all of us!!

I think we must all be having a rough time at the minute. I had my first drink since quitting on friday and i came very close to having a fag :mad: i had to stop drinking cause the more i drank the more i wanted a ciggy!!!

Dont be too disappointed mojo, if we wanted one that bad we could of found a way but we didnt so chin up. We will beat this

I too have been absolutely gaggin for a ciggie for the last week.. the weekend especially - and that was with no drink! :eek:

Why is it getting harder? Any theories, apart from the novelty's worn off and we are not so elated with our quits anymore..!? :mad:

I think you've hit the nail on the head. I think it is that the novelty of the "newly quit" has worn off.

It's like, ok, done that, now back to normal - give us a fag!

Was waiting outside work for my lift home and literally everyone was smoking.

That actor Leslie Grantham, (Dirty Den from East Enders), must be in a play in Belfast at the mo - he even walked past dragging on a king size.

Thought to myself if it's ok for him why not for me!
