Well I survived, slept with my patch on, been up since 5.30am had my coffee fix and slapped another patch on. wish the family knew how hard it is for me but being non smokers they think you just don't smoke and that's that. I'm over the moon that it's day two and thank you all again for your support.

Yup yup!

Non-smokers are not the best audience for the monumental effort we all have to make...It must get really boring to have to live with a 'Quit' after the first few days of being nice about it!

I'm using a puffer and I'm going to wait for a few days when I'm on my own (with internet access!!!) to go cold turkey.

Keep on doing what is a great thing for your whole family!

Well done cooper! I also expect congratulations from everyone around me but I guess, like your family, they really do not understand the quitting process - this is why it is nice to come on the board once in a while to remember there are others like us!

Someone here in the early days told me to take it one hour at a time and I found it really helped that first week.

Have a great day today.

Glad you made it Cooper!!

One day at a time and you will get there.

Like Cat said if one day at a time gets too tough - try one HOUR at a time.

To misquote an old saying: Look after the hours and the days will looks after themselves;)

Well done on getting this far. Just take it one day at a time. "I will not smoke today".

I'm not giving up anything, I'm escaping.

I like that! Thats the kind of mind frame I'm steering towards. I want my life back! (and my money).

Well done cooper on your day two. Its day two for me too and I agree, its alot harder than non smokers can ever imagine.

Maddy & Cooper.. stay strong! The first few days / weeks are a real rollercoaster of emotions! It will get white knuckled at times, don't expect it to be easy - it's not.. BUT!! If you can stay focused, keep the right mind set, and come on here for support whenever you need it you WILL get through it! Promise!!

Hang on tight.. you may not enjoy the ride initially but it levels out very soon and when it does the bonuses are great and it's worth every hard second, minute, hour, day, week or month!

Everyone's rooting for evryone to keep quit on here! It's a great place for advice & just to be "amongst" people that feel the same as you or understand what you are going through! You can do this! :D:D
