Hi victoria and WELCOME As to filling in your time instead of smoking try coming on here for afew mins and post away or just read what other folks are saying. I'm on champix too so I understand what you mean when you say you don't actually physically want a cig - rather just something to releive the boredom. How about a quick chapter of a book or even a crossword or some other puzzle?

Hi Victoria and a BIG welcome to this site!!
I too stopped on Champix and felt like you - i.e. using smoking as a reward, feeling like something was missing. I found reading and posting on here was a godsend and keeping busy doing stuff that kept my fingers and mind off the
smokes!! the cravings only last for a little while and you will find plenty of support on here.

hi anne-marie, thanks to you as well - i'm really grateful getting your email because one feels silly especiall if one " shold know better" what smoking does, but i'm hooked on it since age 17!!! i.e 26 years!!!
i just had enough - nobody around me smokes, i always felt guilty and ashamed (and i have a 4y old daughter and was always trying to hide my smoking )- sure you all know these feelings - anyway i'll be safe for today, but not sure about tomorow due to having a very busy day on, 'hope i get the chance to log on again, thanks again to you and karen
Hi Victoria. Just wanted to say that I wish you good luck. Don't give in - the worst will be over in a few days. We all know how you're feeling and we're all rooting for you x
we all know what you're going thru right now and it does feel as if you're never gonna get thru it but you will and you'll get stronger every day
be positive and don't be afraid to post on ere and ask for support. (we've all been there, and that's the whole point of this site!! its just BRILL!!) it's helped me loads, along with the champix, my gp and support from friends and family.
