Smells like roses?!!

Ok soooooo - I quit smoking right?!! RIGHT! Now before I quit smoking I would read about how your nose starts to work better and you can smell things sooo much better....MMMmmmmm how lovely right?!! WRONG!!!!!! In some ways it is alright as my hair smells sooooo lovely and my freshly washed clothes smell amazing, most cooking foods I enjoy smell delicious but in other ways :eek: Most things stink horrible. The hamper never use to smell so gross before I quit smoking. My dog didn't smell so bad, the garbage never stank this bad before and ewwwwww eek :eek: Being a non-smoker is a lot of work - trying to clean things more frequently as the stench of things is horrid!! :rolleyes: I guess I use to stink pretty bad to have not noticed the nasty smell of other things. Makes me wonder - the thoughts are running through my mind now of how bad I must have stunk - e...ok maybe the nasty smells of the hamper and the dog aren't that bad after all :confused:

Amazingly, my sense of smell is actually worse than it was when I smoked. In fact for the first few weeks I lost my sense of smell entirely, which if you've ever had no sense of smell for any length time, becomes quite a troubling inconvenience. Even now after over 3 months, it is only slowly coming back. Amazing really how varied the experiences of quitting smoking can be.

I know exactly what u mean! Those awful smells before now are horrid! Nobody warned me about that. I can smell body oder from 10 foot away! yuck. Laundry basket is downright nasty! I even got rid of all the plug in air freshners except the one in each bathroom. Shit will always smell gross!
