I didnt smoke for 14 days when i had the flu. after the 14 days i smoked a ciggerate and my sickness returned the next day. i then quit smoking for a week and smoked one and the sickness returned but not as bad....just chills and a sore throat. what is the deal?

and this keeps happening over and over again.....

Oh ok you have quit now >_< your original post wasn't too clear, thought you wanted help on making smoking work for you so you wouldn't get ill!clipart.co.uk/clipart/mazeg...

Well Done on the 5 days!!!! Not far to the 1 week hurdle, then things seem to ease up a bit :D

Quitters flu, This is different from person to person depending on nicotine dependency levels, age and general health i guess.

Try drinking plenty of water and taking Vitamin C this will help the system clear out and perk you up a bit.

If there is a fever with your flu then I would advise seeing your doctor as thats not about the quit. If it's just general run down then I wouldn't worry too much, I am still coughing stuff up at nearly 8weeks!

Drinking is fine, even if using NRT, as long as it won't make it difficult for you to stay strong against not smoking.

Keep strong, Buffy ~ x X x X x ~

Sounds like a fever, needs to be checked out by the doctor.

As I said before, a fever is not a sympton of quitting, it's your body fighting something else.

Good luck x
