Hello all, I'm still here and still off the fags! I've stopped using the patches now but carry gum in my bag just in case! I've got £150 in the pot for NYC and looking forward to havcing even more.
Month 2!: Hello all, I'm still here and still... - No Smoking Day
Month 2!
Hey Lou, I'm in month 2 too! I'm feeling so good at the minuteas well, much much healthier. started swimming again too. not sure how long it'll last but hopefully until the Xmas belly reduces!
Glad to have some company. It's definitely getting easier. I'm off the patches too and doing ok. Keep going!
Hello all. You're right, it is getting easier. Still do get cravings for a cig but not half as many as I did when I stopped smoking. 6 weeks and one day in! Keep it up!
Just been thinking what an amzing thing we've done. It's taken ages to stop smoking, it's such a hideous thing when you think about it. I am so so pleased I'v emanaged and its really great that you're all in the same boat!
We are amazing
Your right Lou it is great. It's so hard to stop smoking we shoudl be very proud. I'm a month and a bit in now - quit at New Year. Feeling good
Hello. Nice to see so many of us here! I'm 5 weeks in and very pleased with myself. Thought I'd log and see how you're doing since it's raining
I'm not quite ready to move over to month 3 yet Lou - but good on ya! Still doing well. Very strange but a guy at work's running the marathon and it's making me think about starting to go running - I feel so much fitter now, it's great. But maybe I'll leave it til the weather improves!!
hi ,im a newbie here im into my fourt week and one day ,two more weeks iof full strengh patches then we start to come down .im feeling great from fourty a day ,im very proud and healthy
8 weeks
I'm still here it's been 8 weeks now and I'm feeling really healthy. I gave up smoking and joined the gym the week after and it's the best thing that i've ever done. The coughing is now a thing of the past I feel really good and where I was constantly ill before i'm in the best of health. I was one of the lucky ones and found giving up after over 20 years really easy but I think that is because I really didn't want to smoke anymore and when you reach that stage there is no turning back.
Please anyone that has come this far don't give up now as it is such a waste of all your effort.
Good luck to everyone.
Steph
im coming up to six weeks now ,my lungs feel great ,my coughing as gone ,and for the first time in years ive got warm feet ,so the circulation as improved. there no going back now ,i cannot go back to weazing lungs and a hacking cough .smoking for thirty six years 40per day ,im very pleas : ed
Coming up to week 9
my name is Carol, im a mum of 7 yes 7. aged from 37 to 14yrs. And a nanny of 5 grandsons. Ive smoked since 15yrsof age 54yrs of age to 16th December 06, i feel like a born again Christian must feel lol.
The cough has gone, so i can get up in the morning no-one knows i,m up.Dont hear me anymore. that cough was a dead give away!!!
I can run with the grandsons, play footie , AND taste food.I gave up when i did after finding out my natural mother had heart problems, her sister had the same , and i have 2 sisters who have heart problems, and i was wondering why i had panic attacks, depression, palpertation. Now im ready to kick the old man out if he doesnt quit cos it stinks. He is one of them bigits who smokes in the kitchen cos its cold outside, cant go anywhere without the backy tin..How did i do it?I just stopped. If you have fags in the house when you stop you know they are there, you are not taking them off yourself straight away, so you think your not having them taken off you .. You will get everything wrong with you going . Colds, moody, uptight but its better than dieing .Stay in there , the money is secondary, but it feels good top spend what you,ve saved in just a month.
