Hi Everyone - My father's two hematopathologists disagree about diagnosis--one says CLL, the other NMZL. The NIH has denied the request for a pathology review because it is a needlepoint biopsy, and they would not be able to distinguish between CLL and NMZL through the specimen. It is disappointing, but I understand the logic.
As we await an excisional biopsy, I ask for your help. Those with MZL, can you please share with me any of the following:
-Immunophenotype (CD markers) - located on flow cytometry report
-Genetic markers (TP53 mutation? IGHV mutated? 17P deletion?) - located on the molecular report
-Absolute lymphocyte count - located on CBC with differential
-The morphology (look of your cancer cells) - located on the biopsy pathology report
If you prefer, I would love to hear from you through a Private Message; I will absolutely keep your test results private.
Thank you so much for your time and help. I appreciate you.
