CLL/SLL and secondary prostate cancer

Friends,

My husband’s PSA doubles in a few months time. His level is 4.5. He is on 420 mg of Imbrutinib daily. He will have a biopsy after the Holidays in January. Has anyone developed prostate cancer after CLL/SLL diagnosis? This is my husband’s second battle with CLL/SLL. He’s been on Imbrutinib over a year. Kinda scared for him and down.

Sorry to hear this, Zappymom. Are you on the CLL forum? Secondary cancers seem to crop up on that forum regularly enough - maybe because they have many more members than NHL Friends. It would be worth copying this post to CLL Support as there is a wealth of experience there too.

Hopefully the prostate cancer will be contained and treated successfully and this may just be another bump the road. Hang in there and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
