My grandmother was diagnosed with marginal zone B cell lymphoma and unable to tolerate Rituxan due to infusion reactions. She is now trying Arzerra. Wondering if anyone has had Arzerra as a treatment for this as what I read shows it as a treatment for CLL.

Arzerra is the commercial name for Ofatumumab.
I know of people who have had allergic reactions to rituxan and it seems there are some consultants who give an antihistamine and infused rituxan very slowly over night so it involves an overnight stay.

They decided not to even try the Rituxan anymore. They switched to Arzerra. They admitted her yesterday to infuse slowly and did pre-medicate with Benadryl and a steroid but she still had reactions and hallucinations/confusion. They stopped the Infusion. The doctor hasn’t come by yet today but I plan to discontinue any treatment. At 82, it just seems to be too rough on her.
