First Day Of Rituxan and Bendamustine

Just to update everyone, I started R/B yesterday at Emory Winship for follicular lymphoma. I'm 78 and have been on the keto diet for a year, so BP, BMI, lipids, vitamins and minerals all normal after 35 lb weight loss. I have 90% cancer cells in bones. I do not present with any outward symptoms, but therapy was started due to having 3 modes over 3 CM.

I'm happy to report that I had no side effects from Bendamustine, and one chills event with Rituxan, resolved with short stop and 100 mg Benadryl. After that smooth sailing.

This is to let others know I had no nausea, itching, bone pain, mouth sores, etc., and slept like a baby last night. I return for balance of bendamustine today, and go Wednesday for platelets and Neulasta.

I was seriously afraid of side effects, and then. so far, had none. Don't know whether keto helped, but have to believe it did, as I had 2 stents put in iliac arteries the week prior.
