Hot Flashes!

I am not sure if my hot flashes are from pre or post menopause (I have not been tested) or a side effect from the chemo and radiation I received for the anal cancer I have ( hopefully in May my PET scan shows I am cancer free). Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop them or lessen them? They are really effecting my sleep and I already suffer from insomnia. Thanks for any suggestions.
