cadever Kidney Transplant information please

I had a cadaver kidney. What is your concern? I’ve had mine for 5+ years and it’s doing fine.
what type of information?
Cadaver kidneys are acceptable, and can be very helpful and therapeutic. No reason to worry, generally speaking. However, living donation is generally preferable, because of the ability to do better matching, shorten the time between extraction and re implantation, etc. Generally, living donation grafts tend to do better and last longer with less complications, but the differences are being minimized and should not dissuade you from getting whatever kidney is available to you. It is life-altering, no matter how you get it.
I received a cadaver kidney 19 years ago and have, thankfully, had no problems. This kidney is working extremely well even after all this time. I think it is more about getting as good a match as possible. I would take a chance on whatever kidney you can get.
I had a cadaver transplant 5+ years ago. Kidney is working fine. Best of luck to you. And prayers.🙏
I have no experience with a cadaver transplant. I received my kidney from my middle daughter.
