Is anyone taking the medication FOSMAX ? If so how are the side effects and does this medication cause Gum growth? I’m aware that you have to pay extra attention to your dental health while on this medication

I take the generic, alendronate. No problems so far--I've been on it a couple years now. No one told me anything specific about dental health except I think I remember something about bone loss of the jaw, but was told it's rare. I see dentists and periodontists at least four times per year and so far no signs of trouble.
