Has anyone else here had more than one transplant?

Hi Leekee, I had 2 transplants. My native kidneys failed when I was 13, I got a transplant at 16. Sadly shortly after 5 years I had a rejection. I waited on the list again for 6 years and did Pd. I received my transplant in 2016 August. Next week Im celebrating 6 years.

My brother-in-law had two transplants. Once as a teenager with his father as a donor and, years later, when that failed, another (but obviously not from his father).

My dad had two - both from cadaver kidneys. The first one failed and he went back on dialysis. He received his 2nd kidney a few years later. My uncle and I have had one living-donor transplants.

HiI am on my 3rd kidney. First one was from my dad (living donor) lasted about 12 years. Second one lasted about 13 years (cadaver). The third and current one is 6 years in Dec.(cadaver). So far so good! Hoping & praying you will do well. Take care
