I would imagine if you told your transplant team you were considering smoking after transplant they would deny you a transplant. I can't imagine considering smoking after transplant, when smoking causes most of the kidney failures in the first place.

Why in the world would you want to smoke after getting a 2nd chance at life with a transplant? Now there is so much out there about how bad smoking is for you... Smoking is something you can control.

Oh no please don’t smoke! Smoking restricts blood flow and will damage your new kidney. I had my transplant 8 months ago and I treat it like it’s my baby…so precious!

yes like the others said ;please don't. I remember a talk by a Dr on CKD and smoking. He said that smoking is like pouring gasoline on your kidneys…🙏

Why would you want to smoke it is a nasty habit I stopped smoking 23 years ago and have not thought about even picking up a cigarette. More so now that I have a precious gift of a new Kidney!! Please put that first!!!
