Hi, I am 6 months post-transplant everything is going great so far except I have lower back pain (and sometimes stomach pain) First it happened 4 months after the transplant when I tried to do some light exercise. It lasted 1 week during that time I had to lay down every 15 minutes because it was unbearable. Then it happened a few days ago after playing a bit of basketball. This time it's not as bad as last time. To clarify I almost always have this pain a bit but it's mostly just annoying not as severe as after the exercise and the basketball.
The first time it was obviously too early for me to exercise. Now the second time I suspect the jumping. But it seems strange that I always feel some pain.
What do you think? When do you think I can start exercising and do sports normally? What are your experiences? Could be the reason something else?
Thank you!

I had terrible back pain a year after transplant and it’s been on going … I’m nearly at 3 years. It could be any number of things . I think it’s Prednisolone which can cause osteoporosis . Thankfully I’m tapering off it and if I do ok with my adrenal gland recovering and creatine staying stable I can remove it completely. There is a condition that effects the arteries to the hips caused by Pred too, but that is rare.My son a physio said regardless of pain walking and exercise are always the best solution. He put me onto an app called Curable which stoped pain in its tracks through deep relaxation and meditation … ( 2 weeks free before you pay for it so give it a go it’s a miracle)
Don’t get down, walk and weight bearing exercises are the best solution that got me through it.
