Issues with elevated blood markers
Be patient and communicate with your team. Everybody is different and since you are only 4 months transplant your new kidney may still be in the process of creating a baseline. Take care.
It is very common the first year, sometimes even into the 2nd that your creatinine jumps around some before becoming stable. I had several biopsies done that first year for fear of rejection. My increased creatinine was not rejection. My immunosuppressant meds had to be adjusted several times and my creatinine settled down. That being said, we are all different and you should definitely be talking with your transplant team and express your concerns. If there is anything I have learned through this whole kidney journey is to be my own advocate.
What they said. You are only 4 months in, and your body is still adjusting and the docs are probably adjusting your med levels too. My levels still bounce around some, after 30 months. It is not a problem until it becomes consistent. Talk with your post-op team and share your concerns, and if they are concerned. Good luck and congratulations on your new kidney.
About a month after my transplant last Halloween my creatine went up my body tried to reject my kidney. I went into the hospital got plasma infusions and some other kind of thing (sorry can’t remember what) was in 2 weeks everything is ok now. They have to adjust my meds every so often, to keep my labs good. I am doing good now ( so far). I have lupus it’s the reason I needed a kidney so that may what’s causing my issues?
You didn't mention how much increase was in your creatinine. Do you feel.comfortable sharing?
