Accidentally taken my tacrolimus before clinic, is there much point in going? Can I do anything to reverse this?

Accidentally taken tac before clinic?
You mean lab work?
Yes, sorry for vagueness, was a bit panicky earlier. It's also my first ever clinic visit post-transplant, and for convoluted reasons I've had to go without my assistant/carer (high functioning autism)
The lab work includes trough levels of your medication(s). Unfortunately it wouldn't be accurate if you had just taken it because it needs to be measured either at 12th or 24th hours after the last dose. I would let your doctor know what happened so the results do not mislead clinical decision.
Don't beat yourself up about this. This is all new and we all make mistakes. Doctors usually can tell when tac. Has been taken before labs once you have developed a testing pattern. As you found there are other tests not affected by tac. That the doctor needs to check. You will be taking so many tests and medication in the beginning that it can become overwhelming but it is part of the process. Stress only makes matters worse. Find a way to distress at these moments. Take a deep breath and forgive yourself. My center provides 24 hour contact for questions. Check to see if yours does?
I’m 17 months post kidney transplant, I just did the same thing. My tacro levels were super high because of it. They made me do labs following day and everything came back down to normal.
I’ve done it a couple of times. Don’t stress. My Tacrolimus doses have been 1 and 2 to 1 and 1 to 1/2 and 1/2….I’m 2 1/2 years past transplant
I have done that and I still went to my clinic appointment. It's an honest mistake. They pound in our heads take your meds on time and than the day of clinic you don't tell your blood work is done. I am able to do mine at a local hospital a week before my appointment. Maybe you can do that too.
I’ve made the same mistake. I went to appointment, told my Dr. and not a problem. Just had blood work done next day and made sure I didn’t make mistake again. I now leave a note on my kitchen table not to take meds. If I don’t put meds out night before I’ll forget to take them after my appointment. So the note allows me to leave meds out and reminds me not to take. When I get home, I’m hungry and my meds are on table ready to take.
