I had a kidney transplant in 2018 and am experiencing lots of bruising on my hands and forearms. Anyone else have this?

I would have to agree with others check the side effects of you medications with your doctor. I take a small baby aspirin daily and have experienced bruising.

I get what looks like a cross between a bruise and a blood blister, although they're not raised, on my forearms. If I happen to bump or catch them, they bleed like crazy, frequently soaking through a bandage. If I don't break the skin, they take about 3 weeks to fade during which time they look like a bruise that's slowly healing. I never seem to have a new one to show my doctors when I have an appointment, so I haven't gotten an official "weigh-in" on them. I remember my mom having them a lot as she battled lymphoma and leukemia, so when I first saw them, I sort of freaked out. However, I still get my blood drawn every two weeks so if something was off in it, I'd know it my now! It's probably nothing serious, but it you're concerned about it, run it past your team. I plan to. Best wishes!

I would be hitting a year after a kidney transplant in September, and about a month I started to see bruising on my arms. It would just arrived , my doctor told me yesterday it's the aspirin I am on. I don't know if you take aspirin, but this what was told to me. Maybe this helps, ask your doctor🙂

I bruise easily and mainly on forearms and shins. Drs tell me its the prednisone. I take 5mg daily. Maybe this is your reason too??

I think so. I also bruise and get those blood spots at times and never bruised prior to the transplant drugs. I stopped aspirin so not aspirin.

Completely normal. Just be more careful with skin care.
