Antibodies test?

A question for those of you who have been tested to see how many antibodies your body’s have made against Covid-19, after getting 2 vaccines.

Is that the same test as the one to see if you have antibodies after having Covid? (Or to see if you have had Covid?) Or is that two different test?

My (UK NHS) experience is that they’re two different tests.

I qualified for an antibody test and the results stated that I had no antibodies but that it had only tested for antibodies as a result of infection:

“No antibodies were found in your blood sample.

This means it's unlikely you've had COVID-19 in the last 6 months.

It's important to keep following coronavirus advice.

This test only looked for antibodies from an infection, rather than antibodies made after the vaccination.”

There are two separate tests. One if you have had covid-19 and the antibodies as a result of that. The test that shows if you have anti bodies due to vaccination. This test for vaccination is called Spike test. In the USA, by default, labcorp does the test for having had Covid for $10 without doctors prescription and quest does the spike test without prescription for $75.

I have not been tested for antibodies however I have not had my second Covid shot either also I noticed that when I went for my labs this past Thursday my test results were off a lot from the time that I had my transplant six months ago so I placed a call to my transplant team to see if me taking the shot can affect my test result. I had a lot of red flags. Has anyone had the same issues?
