Hi I wouldn’t do it it’s never a good idea to mix any type of medication with alcohol however I guess the best thing to do is to consult your team
Dear Karan6789,
When you say 'At The Same Time' do literally mean Taking Your Meds. With A Beer- or do you mean 'Can We Drink When On Our Meds?'.
To the Former, if applicable NO! If the Latter, which I Hope you mean, then yes a few- but no more- Units CAN be consumed Weekly (no more than one at once though)- I would just 'Check' with your own Team first though.
I'm NOT contradicting 'Redbone's' advice, just suggesting that, there might (and probably is) a little, shall I say, Room To Manoeuvre..... If you are CAREFUL!

I wouldn't. Alcohol isn't good for our kidneys anyway because it dehydrates them, and mixing alcohol with medication is often a really bad combination. If you want your kidney to work for years to come I'd recommend sticking with water.
Sure. Go ahead. NOT!!!
I've never been told not to. I have an occasional drink, probably less than one per week, with no harm.
I was told that alcohol can lessen the effect of the transplant meds. It would be nice to have a drink now and than. For example a wedding or a birthday or even an anniversary.
I have confirmed that drinking alcohol (not with any medications) moderately is fine for most transplant patients. However it is always a good idea to check with your pharmacist to make sure if any medication you take prohibits you from drinking any alcohol.
Always check with your transplant team first. I like my glass of wine. My nephrologist said it is OK, As the saying goes - "Everything in moderation."
