So when i received my transplant, my donor and I were a mismatch for cmv. The person had positive antibodies and i did not. I was posotive for cmv in march (8 months post) went back to negative and came back positive so back on the meds. My doctors told be i developped antibodies after the first time so that is good news.
How many of you had this problem and how lany times dod the virus reactived itself?

Hi Amy, I did, about 3 times in the first six months. Haven't had any issues since. It will be two years with my transplant this June 10. Life is good! Enjoy your new life.

Were you under stress when test turned positive? I think it is difficult to predict when our immune system decreases its efficacy, but I know stressful events triggered my shingle episode and cold, so would suggest taking good care of yourself physically and emotionally always.
What symptoms did you have from having CMV virus?
