National Donate Life!

I was 49 when I got my GIFT OF LIFE - my kidney transplant! It was 1999 , 21+ years ago. I had strep throat as a child and would up in kidney failure some 30 years later. I have friends that complain about their wrinkles and their grey hair and I thank GOD for every wrinkle and every grey hair on my body... do I like it? Of course not. But if for not my donor and God...I would not be here to complain. It is scary to get OLD, but considering the alternative... The pandemic has been real scary. We don't know what the future holds.

I love LIFE and plan to live everyday to the fullest! I know it may sound a little unreal!!!! but every day is a GIFT.

Take care all!

I agree my friend that growing older can be scary. We do have a lot to be thankful for, that we have made it this far. And that we enjoy life to its fullest.

No one can stop the body ageing but we have some say over how we think and feel ..... that’s the gift of a transplant, the gratitude it instills and a genuine love of life .... so whilst I loathe looking in the mirror it doesn’t reflect what I feel inside ... Thanks for your buoyant message Anne. Here’s to a great today .
