Has anyone dealt with kidney rejection? Was it corrected? What was done?
Rejection : Has anyone dealt with kidney... - Kidney Transplant
Rejection
Hi, when I first got my transplant last august in the second week I was in hospital they suspected a small rejection happening so they gave me a big dosage of prednisolone for a full day and it seem to work well, but they were talking about a load of things they could do if it was to go further, probs best to ask your Doctor about it 😊
Yes, I've had my kidney transplant for 16 years and I have started to experience some symptoms of kidney failure and my bloodwork hasn't been good over the past few months. My nephrologist is now looking into a new transplant and getting some tests done. Due to Covid, I may have to go on dialysis. It is scary personally and I typically feel sick and fatigue all the time but waiting to see the next few steps
My spouse had his kidney transplant late Nov 2018 and late Feb 2019 he was in a low grade rejection. I came home from work and he was waiting at front door that we had to leave for the hospital due to blood labs showed something wrong as a trend. So we immediately went to the ward already they had him admitted and a biopsy showed he was in a "low grade rejection" and put on an IV of steroid for 5.5 days, then he was discharged and put on high amounts of prednisone for weeks. This all worked. A rejection can happen in your lifetime of having the organ and all you can do is take care of it the best you can and enjoy yourself along the way.
