I know exactly what you mean about a kidney transplant changing your life forever! I am over 20 years post transplant 10/15/99, and living life to the fullest!
It is so wonderful to hear your story. I cannot imagine 8 years on dyalisis. Yes, getting a kidney was life changing to me. I thank God everyday of my new life. Best to you forever.
Thanks bakermaker i than the lord every day And night π it amazing i havent had any major set backs my gfr is at 74% and all my labe are within range ive totally changed my diet To a very healthy one baker man do you bake?i make whole grain and sourdough bread πͺππ
I bake healthy muffins. I golf a lot and make them for the foursome in front and in back and my foursome and the starter. That way everyone gets along. I am so happy for you that you are doing so well. I feel a little guilty because I never had to go on dyalisis. Best to you.
Congratulations Dave, I had a Transplant- in July 2013- after four years on Dialysis.
Unfortunatley, due to my 'ongoing' Condition, I can't return to my Former Life- I was a Senior Quality Controller, responcible for the Entire Manufactoring Process.
I assume you are in America- only because of some of your phrases- for example. What exactly IS a 'Deceased Stones Kidney'? This is certainly NOT a 'term' used here, in the United Kingdom. We have a System called 'Tissue Typing', that Matches Donor with Recipient.... is this similar?
It is not, at all, surprising that different Countries have Different Procedures.... Heck I'm not even sure if all Hospitals 'Do' Transplants EXACTLY the same!
It might be an Interesting Excercise, to compare, the Differences/ Similarities- between Transplant Hospitals- sometime.
Hi Andrew it's tough im sure in your situation Im canadian and my vision and finger tips have hard time with key board i was trying to say my sister who has died while i was on dialyses it was her birthday the day i got the callπI have a lot of american friends ive started a support group on fb and most members are american I would like to know more about you journey as we call it
