Large aneurysm in only kidney

Hello all,

I was born with only one kidney, and following various illnesses including atrial fibrillation and hypertension doctors have discovered I have a large aneurysm on my kidney.

It requires surgery, which my surgeon suggests is technically a transplant operation where they intend to remove the kidney, fix it and then put it back in.

My kidney is not working as it should be and I it feels like I’ve had a constant hangover for the last two years.

I wondered if there is anyone out there who is in a similar situation? There’s not much information online and I am feeling a bit lost.

Best wishes

Gemma
