Hep c and chronic liver disease

Hi everyone my brother is recently diagnosed with Hep c he under went 3 months medication the virus is cured but doctor is saying the liver had got some damage.

They are saying he might has to go for transplant

He is already a kidney transplant patient and now one more problem.

Can anyone pls help me with it. Did one one had such issue.
