How wonderful it is to read all these comments about how long people have had there transplants I thought I was doing well (which I am and so grateful to the donor) for my 26 years and to read these comments was well I haven’t got words to express my feelings

So there could be years left for me even though I am 72 lol

Keep going every one out there regardless which transplant you have had it just shows what can be done

Take care

Thanks Rusty8, for your kind words! You are right, it's just as important to take care of yourself after your transplant - keep all doctor appts, take all meds on time and have regular lab work. When you are given a GIFT you take care of it.

Take care.

I am glad too for the longevity of your transplant. I hope my son has the same experience. He is just 2 1/2 years post and doing well. We just have to deal with the nasty effects of being on the Prednisone steroid to prevent it from rejecting. It is far better than dialysis or worse yet, not having him here with us. He is now just 28 years old.
