After my husbands transplant 12/17 we have amassed about $5,000 of medical debt from copays, deductibles, our portion and it continues to grow. Are there any resources to pay it off for us? There is no way we can catch up.

Is there help paying off accumulated debt
There are a bunch of really great social media platforms out there for people to donate money for a good cause. Receiving a transplant, and being able to live a normal life is a pretty big one. Until you have the medical debt paid off, life can be extremely challenging and hard on the patient due to stress. I recommend creating a "Go Fund Me" campaign to help with the expenses. People all over the place want to donate to a good cause, and you will be surprised by the generosity of strangers. Good luck, and stay positive, you are survivors!
I'm sorry to hear about the medical bills you've accumulated. I would encourage you to talk with the financial coordinator or social worker on your husband's transplant team. If the bills are from a particular provider you can call the number on the bill to see about setting up a payment plan or other options. There is only one assistance program we are aware of that helps with costs associated with transplant: americantransplantfoundatio.... As you will see, the social worker at the transplant center will need to apply on your behalf.
