I received my kidney transplant Jan. 7, 2018, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis. I extremely grateful to the donor and the donor's loved ones.

Congratulations and blessings to you in your journey ahead! Thanks so much for sharing this!
That’s fantastic, congratulations. How’re you feeling?
Congratulations on your miracle! Hope you are doing ok. The first couple months can be a little rough trying to used to taking all of the meds. I pray that all goes well for you. Let us know how things are going? I am 18 years post transplant and am continuing to do great. A new kidney is a wonderful gift! Take care.
Hi friend
I am 4.5month kidney transplant .i got 3 spiks fever in 8days my creatinine raised 1 to 1.80 .my tac level was high 11.80 doctor decrease my prograf. Can my creatinine will decrease .is this cause is is high tecralimus level.
Yes, if your blood level is too high it can cause your creatinine to rise. The same thing happened to me. I think when you have a transplant there is a set dosage they start everyone on. Mine was actually decreased before I even left the hospital and then again 6 months later. Each time my creatinine would rise and decreased after my dose was lowered. I even had a couple of kidney biopsy's that first year. Everything was OK with the kidney, was just too high drug level. Now I have been on a real low dose the last 10 years
I’m sure your social worker has advised you on writing to your donor’s family, assuming your transplant was a deceased donor. Take good care of yourself and your transplant. Congratulations.
Congratulations!
Congratulations on your new Kidney! You received your Kidney on my daughter 3rd birthday. I was blessed to carry her while on dialysis .
That is awesome! I am praying for your road to recovery to be healthy strong and full of life and laughs. Do you mind if I ask how you found a donor?
I received a call that they have a possible kidney for me but I needed to come in and give blood work. Once I arrived they informed me that the Kidney was from a deceased 20 year old male that had good health but passed away from a car accident. I told them I was sorry to hear that but was still interested so they did labs to cross check everything.
