If a person needs a kidney transplant they can go to multiple regions to be evaluated and get listed. As long as you have the means to get to the center if they call, you can get listed at multiple centers. Some parts of the country have shorter wait times.

You'll need to check with your insurance company to confirm that you will have coverage at another center.

Hi, I multi-listed in Boston and Vermont and received a kidney in Vermont much quicker than if I had only listed in Boston. You did need to make sure your insurance will cover it. Good luck!

I was listed at seven different transplant centers. Received my transplant at Iowa Methodist Center.
