I am 35 year old female B positive . I was diagnosed with End Stage Renal disease in April 2 and started hemodialysis in Centre 3 days a week immediately. I would be moving to Home PD shortly . I am actively looking for a transplant and seeking a living donor . Can you help me in some of the ways I can look for donor ?

Hi. NKF has some great classes on finding a living donor.

It comes to how bad you want a living donor. The NKF will provide business cards with a micro website. Make posters and place them on your car windows. "Kidney Donor Needed" with your ph #. Make flyers and place one under the windshield of cars at malls, shopping centers, parking garages. A lot of walking is required. Set up a go fund me to raise money for paper, ink, etc. Use social media. Create a youtube acct and video document your journey. Make videos daily and build up a following. What is unique about you? Write your story and contact all of your local news channels at least monthly. Establish a relationship withTV reporters to get featured on the local news. Local news channels are always looking for stories. Good luck.
