Live Aultiristic kidney donor U.K.
Hi, It's really wonderful you want to do this. Here in the US the age limit is 18 to unofficially 70 so this isn't going to help you. The one thing you should be made aware are the risk factors involved going forward after donation which are completely different for a younger person versus someone older. You have to be on a really healthy optimal diet to protect your remaining kidney and your health. The more you know about food the better you will be. I'm vegan for a reason and their are some wonderful websites to learn more. We have the worst diet in the world here in the US which is why we have so many people in need of a kidney. Just something to think about.
Here in the US it’s typically 18 to 70. I do know someone that donated at 20 and the state he lived in would not allow it. He had to go to another state.
Age ranges can vary center to center. Some will allow over 18 and others 25 years old. Best of luck to you!
Here in the U.S. it is 18 years or older. If/when you decide to donate you will get physical/mental counseling. Great that you are interested in giving at such a young age. 🌷
