Hi, I am taylor and I'm 24! I'm joining to try and find solutions to my high fluid levels. I have been on dialysis for four years, after my kidney from my dad failed after four years of success. My antibodies are so high so I'm basically left with only getting a kidney from a living donor.

Hi Taylor. I am a living donor, RN, for my husband. He was on dialysis for a couple of years and did much better with more frequent home hemo. Also has heart disease which created challenges with dialysis. Very hard to stay in the tight fluid restriction and diet! One thing our doc told us was if you eat a lot of carbs,which basically have the same chemical components as water, your body can convert them to water. I can't speak to your issue but would advise to work with your center dietician. Stay strong! Prayers for you.
