It's a total waste of time and also very dangerous for your other organs like liver. Please stay away from herbs and anything ayurvedic. Trust me, I had tried a lot during my initial days and nearly landed in trouble with my liver.
I understand why you are asking. We are about the same age. I tried the Chinese medicine. It did NOT work. I am on dialysis now in the 16th months.
I am Chinese 74. My Chinese medical expert told me to go dialysis as soon as it is needed. I started a year ago. He also recommended stop any herbal medication to avoid any conflict with dialysis treatment. They monitored all kinds of chemicals levels after dialysis started. Any Herbal medicine is just going to confuse your blood test results.
