I'm getting the cycler supplies on 4/3 and just got the order confirmation, again it shows that the order will be short, same as last months text but then I got double the order. What's up with Baxter? Has everyone's delivery been short?
Baxter deliveries: I'm getting the cycler... - Kidney Dialysis
Baxter deliveries
my was short 10 boxes but my pd nurse order it I think she thought I would use more yellow boxes then green but now they are wanting me to use two green bags a night but before my blood pressure was low so she thoughts got I would be using more yellows so that why in short on my boxes .
I have to order on the 24 so hopefully I will order right and get right stuff
That's interesting. Our PD nurse only ordered the supplies once - the first time. Then, we were responsible for ordering all the supplies ourselves. If anyone forgot a few times, she would force him/her into HD. Seriously! (I think it had to do with emergency deliveries coming out of her budget.) We discovered that Baxter had a suggested list of supplies we could order monthly. They had a sort of "look back" history. Then, while talking to them, my hubby would modify it to satisfaction.
guess I’m fortunate that my center will get me anything I need She said some times people over order and they give them supply’s so sometimes they have it on hand but I needed 10 boxes of green she said they will take the cost cause the pd nurse who left there center did not order enough on my first shipment.
I'm at a very small clinic so my nurse has been "holding my hand" the first orders. The first one was when I started in Feb with manuals. This next one is my first for the cycler so I wouldn't even have a clue as to what I need.
I do my first PET on Monday and that's the first day of cycler training. If I get low on things I just let her know and then go pick up what I need within reason.
One more thing to note. I got a message this last order (which I placed) that I needed to get the PD nurse to update my "prescription" before they would ship my order. So I had to text my PD nurse, who had to get the doc to sign something and get it to Baxter. Since I placed the order the first couple of days ordering was available, there was time to do all of this and my order got processed and delivered this past monday.
Now I didn't get any notification of this when I placed the order on my phone, so just note, that for the first few orders, you might want to place the order then first couple of days ordering is open, then call them 800-284-4060 to confirm your order and prescription. They're very happy to help on the phone and very nice folks.
So you start cycler training on monday??? Coming up quick! I know it seems like FOREVER for you. I bet you sail right through it and it's going to be a breeze for you to do once you take it home.
It has been forever. I got my catheter Jan 12...and it seems as if there are a lot of people who go directly to the cycler, at least on FB. While the hemo room is large and has access for quite a few people, I believe they really only have the one room they do the PD stuff in. It's a really small clinic and there's only on nurse for PD. So I had to wait for the other guy doing cycler training to finish, plus their budget isn't large.
I just feel as I'm missing out on stuff not being at the office (not my bosses Covid though) and I'm really tired of being stuck in the house. These three exchanges and the 2.5 hour dwells suck up the entire day.
But hey next week I start the cycler and Apr 3rd I get the delivery of the supplies.
My orders have not been short, but I have problems with Baxter deliveries with disorganized box stackingI called Baxter to complain, because it would take me hours to count inventory. I also hate having multiple days to wait with split orders between Baxter and UPS. The courier option is a good ideaa. I will check it out..
