It has been a tad quiet on here lately, me included. I'm still in limbo, but will start Amia cycler training Oct 24 in hopes that using the cycler will be a workaround for the extreme lower back pain I was having with manual PD. I'll post more once I start that training. You doing ok?

I am. My nurse told me that there is a new version of my cycler is coming out and that I may like it better.

Let me know the brand/model of new cycler that you're talking about. The one I'm scheduled to train on is the Baxter Amia

Actually since I came off PD after that one fateful training week, I've had no pain. It's just when the fluid was in me and I tried to go from a sitting position to a standing position that it would hit and hit very hard, taking me to my knees. I was fine sitting, then fine standing, but going between the two was a b**ch! Hopefully, since I'll be laying down for the cycler treatment, the nerve that was not happy will not cause trouble. I'll find out next week! Thanks for the good wishes. I'll need em!

Good to hear from you Ron. I was missing your posts and wondering how you were doing. Glad you are OK even in the waiting mode

Doing just fine, thanks. (Actually on a beautiful day like today, I am wondering why I'm even trying to do dialysis since I feel really good. But then I open a lab report, look at the sad little numbers and go. Oh yeah, that's why :-)

I did. I don't want to jinx it by telling too much too soon. I'm easing into it, testing the waters slowly. Will report once I feel comfortable that I know one way or the other if this will work or not.

Getting over COVID. This has not been a fun fall. I am so sick of being stuck inside and away from folks. But next week I should be able to resume my regular life. Still tired, but not like I was. The Virus triggered my PsA and especially my psoriasis. But sooooooo much better than I was three weeks ago. If people don't get the shots and go through this very rampant disease, they are nuts. The only reason I was lucky to not end up in the hospital was because I was boosted and took the antiviral. There are going to be a lot of outbreaks this year.

ssorry about the virus. Glad to hear you're getting better. I got my 3rd booster last week and have been having some side effects: stomach upset, lots of sneezing (??), sniffles, and itching. Still I'm glad I'm boosted and am still taking precautions. It's all unomfortable, but better than covid. Everyone: feel better soon.

Dang, that is no way to start fall. I have no idea how I've avoided the stuff so far. I'm sure before it's all said and done everybody will have had it, and possibly more than once. Guess it's just a waiting game till it's my turn. Had no idea it could trigger stuff like psoriasis. That ain't good. And yeah, I can't imagine getting this stuff and not having the vaccine/boosters. Very wicked stuff this Covid is. Really hope you get back to feeling more like yourself again soon.

Bassett I got it in July even though I had my shots and was boosted. My PCP got me monoclonal antibodies and that kept me out of the hospital but I was sick as all get out for about 2 weeks. I'm really tired of people. But good news is I'm active on the list back dated to Oct 5th. Now I just have to stay healthy enough. Glad you are feeling better. Hi everyone.

I have been blessed not to get Covid “yet” I try to be very careful. I have had my 3rd booster: will probably start pkd diaylis in January . I’m hope I’m able to do it ok.

Right now it seems a lot of doctors for. My husband and each doctor has admit they can’t figure out why his legs give out and he falls all test are normal. So I do almost everything. When I start pd I just hope I can continue doing what i am doing.

We are all warriors and we do our best we can with our kidney disease. Prayers for you all may each day bring a little sunshine.
