Can anyone tell me what the rash that occurs in kidney disease looks like and what is the treatment for it. Trying to figure out whether I am being bitten by a monster bug or something else is occurring. The itching is driving me crazy.

If you are talking about uncontrollable itching, it is probably caused by too high intake of phosphorus. Phosphorus is in a lot of foods, particularly nuts, chocolate, packaged foods with anything beginning with phos in the ingredients. Check with your renal dietitian for foods to avoid and alternatives that you might like instead. Personally I used unscented body wash instead of soap in the wintertime to lubricate the skin. Cortizone-10 or other anti itch creams may help on spot areas. The whole key is lowering your phosphorus, however.
