Exercise dilemma
I'm a caregiver to my husband who recently went on dialysis. We've found exercise to be very important in maintaining strength and mobility and it also helps with sleep, cramps, restless legs, and more. We try to walk every day - our goal is 6000 steps. (Our cellphone tracks our steps via the "Fit" app). We also try to do 30 minutes (give/or take) of daily exercise. We've found great videos on YouTube, particularly the HasFit videos, that we do together. If we can't do both (walk and exercise) because of weather or other issues, we try to do at least one or the other. I think it's important that my husband eventually returns to the gym with an understanding trainer for a weekly session where he can interact with others, just not me. This pandemic (as well as being new to dialysis) has affected so many of us. Here's to striving for the best health possible under the circumstances!
