I am battling high potassium levels. Apparently my kidneys were damaged by chemo some years ago, and my recent bouts with high blood pressure have exacerbated the condition. So now I'm working to lower potassium in my diet. Milk, or substitutes, have become a large issue. But I FOUND something I hope more people know about.
Hood LoCal is a dairy product that is quite low in potassium. It's not easy to find, unfortunately, but it tastes MUCH more like milk than any of the other substitutes I've tried, behaves about the same as milk for cereal and coffee, I'm very happy to find it. And no, I don't have any connection to the company at all, I'm just reporting this for those that find the Silk and rice milk options sub-standard.
Thanks!
