I have been on dialysis since January of 2016. I didn't realize when I first went on how much better I would feel as a result. I go for 3 days a week for four hours each. I'm hoping that at some point they can reduce the length of time and/or the days I go.

Speaking as someone whose kidney function is now at about 16% and feels pretty rough most days it is good to hear that dialysis is making you feel much better. So many people go on about the negative sides of it so it is nice to hear a really positive report. Keep well.

my husbands kidney 4%. But he still urinates, and he doesn't retain fluid, which is a blessing 😏.

Are you a candidate for a transplant? I go 3 times a week for 3 hours and 15 minutes. I had to go last Friday and Monday due to more than normal gain. Possibly due to more activity. Recently had a wrist fracture and a pelvic fracture ( two different events a week and a half apart ☺). I have recoved from both nicely, but "severe bone thinning" and "essential tremors" in my legs were discovered, so the diagnosis journey continues. . .🤔
