Viky45 A normal amount of protein in your urine is less than 150 milligrams per day. If you have more than 150 milligrams of protein in your urine per day, you have proteinuria.

Cleveland Clinic published a very informative article, at the link below.

You can't combine TRACE with PROTEINURIA.

TRACE is a term used for "a very small amount" i.e. Trace of blood, Trace of protein - it is not visible to the eye, and must be studied using a microscope.

PROTEINURIA is defined as High protein level in urine. 👍🏽

My neph says it is an indicator of CKD progression. My proteinuria has been higher for a few years. We try different meds. Now it is even higher, 5.3 grams (5374). I have other issues with the medications unfortunately, so it has been difficult. I am going back soon. Make sure you stay on top of this. Ask questions and advocate for yourself, this is super important. No concern or question is stupid, they are all valid!

I'm sorry you're stressed and worried. Your CKD doesn't sound close to life threatening though. "Trace" just means too small to measure. I'm a big advocate of a kidney friendly die though. A change of diet can help your mental health a bit too, hopefully.
