Has anyone been diagnosed with FSGS and if so what were your treatment options? What meds did you take and what worked? Any side effects? I am new to this app and would love to hear some opinions or advice from other people who can relate as I feel very alone in this. I have Lupus as well as FSGS.

HI Amber, Welcome to our family. I have FSGS brought on by ibuprofen I was prescribed for an extended time. I also have Psoriatic Arthritis which is an autoimmune disease. Two things helped me. Diet and keeping my PsA under control. Finding the right medications took many tries and even if I found one that worked, it eventually quit. Diet is the most helpful thing for anyone with CKD. Go see a renal dietician because each diet should be planned to your lifestyle and needs. For now, cut down on red meat, soda or pop, salt, processed foods and eat more veggies.
