Does anyone know if Stevia is ok for your kidneys.

Hi I hope everyone is doing well. Currenly my kidneys are doing well. I surely want to keep things that way. I use sugar a bit for homemade ice tea and I was wondering about Stevia, I would like to cut back on the sugar I drink a glass or two per day and I put a little sugar in my coffee.

I have looked and researched online but there is no real solid info I can find about Stevia and whether it is ok for your kidneys heck for all those other organs too.

Thanks so much.

YOU are going to find people who say yes it is good and some who say no. I say yes and have used stevia for years. I used Sweet Leaf stevia which I get from Amazon. Last a long time as you only need a little. Do not try baking with it.....does not taste good or work like sugar. It only has stevia and inulin and silica. All things that will not hurt you in small doses. Watch out for products like Truvia which is terrible for you

If you're gonna do sweeteners, stevia is "probably" one of the better choices.

Stevia and I never got along. Don't think it was a kidney issue, just my medical confused body making decisions.

Thanks everyone still unsure. I just want if for my coffee or ice tea, or anything else that needs a bit of sweet. I would not bake with it.

So the things I read said if you take meds and I do, blood pressure and cholesterol check with your health care provider. I did and She said I don’t know?? LOL it is like that with alot of things your doctor only knows if they have first had experience of studies to use and there are none apparently.. So still a question, thanks so much everyone.
