Stopped from kidney care locked in psychiatric hospital

Locked in a psychiatric hospital for over a year. The psychiatric medications induced kidney failure . I had a cute kidney failure 9 times in critical care & in the ICU in the past 3 years. I have been shuffled around involuntarily from hospital to hospital. The hospital Zi am at is the worst. They ignore my unmet kidney care needs and continuously sedated me when I get physically sick. I am scared.

Very sorry to hear your story. Do you have any sympathetic friends and/or family? If not, and you are your only advocate, even worse, as mental patient's concerns may not be taken seriously. At least you have access to the web?

ask for a mental health advocate.

And then a psychopharmacologist who can find a drug that helps your mental health w/o destroying your kidneys.

I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. Ask for copies of your last few blood tests and write down the most important ones to show what the trend is. Then show them to a family member to ask them to get you help from the doctor. Post your results here too. They can’t ignore stats. I’m not sure who visits people in hospital in the US if they don’t have anyone close by but maybe ask to see a Church Minister who may be ablue to ask questions on your behalf. Good luck
