Being that I was born with Solitary kidney and started on acyclovir when I started chemo, I’m trying to find an antiviral that doesn’t harm my kidney. Has anyone got some leads for me?

Thank you.

Some listed in link below, at least for covid. But Im not in favour of any drugs tbh and had to keep fingers crossed when mum (also solitary kidney) was prescribed acyclovir for shingles.

Btw did you see this blog I posted recently re sole kidneys, any similarities eg albuminuria? ocnutrihealth.com/blog/chro...

Userotc,

I’m the same, I avoid pharmaceuticals by living healthy my whole life. I thank you for the link to research article on safer antivirals. I’ll research them for my oncologist finding one that causes the least harm to my solitary kidney. I’ve kept it healthy since birth 66 years ago and plan to keep it that way.

Thanks again.
