Hi,
I had a scan that revealed multiple cysts on my kidney, one about 3cm.
They are "simple" apparently, but I am a bit worried.
Can anybody offer any advice.
TIA

I, too, have renal cysts, but they have been benign forever. Many people have renal cysts that are benign!!
From what I understand, just about everyone has cysts on their kidneys. They usually don't cause any problems. Even my daughter who has no kidney issues has cysts on one of her kidneys.
If you have questions, you should be asking your nephrologist.
I also have several cysts on both kidneys. My nephrologist wants me to see a urologist to monitor the growth. He told me that these cysts can grow to be what they call complex cysts.
I recently found out I have one a few months ago I was told not to worry that we would just monitor it. Well I should have stayed away from looking things up on Google...
😔
My hubby, now with the transplant, also has a cyst or two on one of his kidneys but it didn't cause any problems. His diabetes was the underlying cause for their collapse. Interestingly, he also has one in his brain which doesn't interfere with anything.
I also have kidney cyst a long time ago. My sister had cyst in her breast and her doctor told her to eat Vitamin E pills. Her cyst went away. I started taking Vitamin E and years later I only showed one. I started taking the Vitamin E again since I don't want to have any. Check with your doctor to see if Vitamin E will mess with your medications. It worked for me. I was on a lot of medications for my spine and my brain from a brain injury that was not good for my kidneys. I cut down on the medication this year after my doctor said I have a low kidney issue. I just researched myself and I am at Stage 3. I want no parts of 4 or 5. Check out Dr. Sean Hashmi on YouTube and ask about Cyst. He is a renowned Nephrologist.
