Is ashwaganda safe to use with kidney disease?
Ashwaganda: Is ashwaganda safe to use with... - Kidney Disease
Ashwaganda
So much depends on your stage of CKD. I looked into this years ago when I was stage 3b. My doctor who was Indian, said the following: Supplements, especially processed from a foreign country, do not have the oversight and regulations that the FDA require. There is no guarantee what you get is what you think it is. There maybe other things in the supplement that you do not want and the amount of the product you do want may not be truly represented. So being the smart a$$ that I was, I took it anyways...... It did nothing. Save your money.
I am also a smartass. I saw a study where they found it actually with inflammation but it did mention the same downsides that you said. Wish there was something I could take for inflammation but I suspected there was no guarantee. Thank you. I value your input
Depending on the cause of the inflammation, there are remedies. Some things you can do for yourself is NO red meat. It cause high uric acid which causes inflammation. Take a look at a gout diet as that can help with inflammation, which is what gout is.
thank you. I eat very little red meat so it shouldn't be difficult to cut it out. I cook it for my husband who is in remission from stage 4 bladder cancer. He is trying to build up his blook and gain some weight back. Good luck with the dialysis
I'm ckd stage 2 and I take KSM-66 Ashwagandha. I love it. No issues at all for me. I take it due to thyroid issues.
